Reflections on Literature: The Whole is Untrue

This brief extract from The Fragment references some ideas on how creations as wholes or not great but rather certain details and particular aspects are what truly matter. Although I found the reading to be a bit boring but I agree with its message. The true beauty of buildings mostly comes from the smallest elements. Last summer I had the pleasure of going to Frank Lloyd Wrights Guggenheim in New York and one of my fondest memories was an opening over an exhibit room giving a whole new perspective on the works of art. So maybe if "The devil's in the details" he isn't all that bad?
